On 26 May 2022, our client was one of four men charged with the murder of Omar Elomar in February 2020.  For more information, see: Four men charged with Omar Elomar’s murder in 2020, ABC News, 26 May 2022.

Our client unsuccessfully applied for bail in the Local Court before changing lawyers to Hanna Legal.

Our criminal lawyers filed a release application in the NSW Supreme Court.  In support, we drafted detailed written submissions, which included an in-depth analysis of the evidence and identified key weaknesses in the Crown case against our client.  

Hanna Legal also assisted in the preparation of comprehensive subjective material, which addressed the bail concerns and the matters to be considered under section 18 of the Bail Act 2013. 

We represented our client at his release application, where it was successfully argued on his behalf that he had shown cause as to why his detention was not justified and, accordingly, the Court granted our client conditional bail.
