Fatal boat crash skipper drunk, court hears

In July 2010, our client was charged with various offences, including two counts of aggravated culpable navigation causing death.  

The prescribed concentration of alcohol in his blood at the time the boat capsized was estimated as being between 0.178 and 0.225, which is approximately four times the limit.  For more information, see: Fatal boat crash skipper drunk, court hears, Sydney Morning Herald, 17 August 2010. 

Hanna Legal represented the offender at sentence proceedings in June 2011, where he was sentenced to a non-parole period of 18 months, with a parole period of 18 months.
