On 31 May 2011, our client was one of four people charged with take/detain with the intention of committing a serious indictable offence.

On 6 June 2011, Hanna Legal successfully applied for bail for our client at the Burwood Local Court.  For more information, see: Ibrahim sister Armani Stelio bailed on kidnapping charges, The Daily Telegraph, 7 June 2011.  

After the police evidence was served, Hanna Legal prepared written representations to the Director of Public Prosecutions for the charge to be withdrawn.  The representations were successful and the criminal proceedings against our client were discontinued on 21 February 2012.  For more information, see: Ibrahims walk after kidnap case thrown out, The Daily Telegraph, 21 February 2012. 

We subsequently made a successful application to the Court for the prosecution to pay our client’s legal costs.
