In 2014, Mr Bubanja and three other men were found guilty of murder following their trial by jury at the Supreme Court of NSW.

Our client and the other men filed appeals against their convictions to the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal.

Hanna Legal instructed Tim Game SC and Peter Lange on the appeal, which was heard in August 2016.

On 21 September 2016, the Court of Criminal Appeal handed down its decision. In relation to our client, the Court allowed the appeal, quashed the conviction and entered a verdict of not guilty.
