In September 2015, Roads and Maritime Services (now Transport for NSW) suspended the registrations of 40 vehicles being used to provide ride-sharing services with Uber. For more information, see: UberX: officials suspend 40 drivers’ vehicle registrations, Sydney Morning Herald, 28 September 2015.
Hanna Legal represented all of the drivers in relation to the regulatory dispute with Transport NSW.
Hanna Legal successfully negotiated with the Government for the postponement of the commencement of the vehicle registration suspension to allow time for further discussions with the regulator to take place. For more information, see: UberX car suspensions delayed, rental cars promised to drivers, Sydney Morning Herald, 1 October 2015.
Following further negotiations between Roads and Maritime Services and us, all of the suspensions against the drivers were lifted.
