In September 2021, our client was charged with one count of enter dwelling with intent to damage property, contrary to section 111(1) of the Crimes Act 1900.  This is an offence that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment. 

In February and March 2022, Hanna Legal represented our client at an application for him to be diverted pursuant to section 14 of the Mental Health and Cognitive Impairment Forensic Provisions Act 2020 at the Manly Local Court. 

The application was successful and our client was conditionally discharged on the basis that he comply with a treatment plan prepared by a psychiatrist.
